We have had lots of great team work in the Forest to end the academic year.Secondary lunch club made a huge Mud cauldron, taking it in turns to add water and soil then mixing it together into a muddy gooey potion. 4H leavers used their muscles to help fill up the digging pit with fresh compost ready for next year. They carried the bags from the gate, opened them and carefully emptied the bags evenly into the pit. Thanks Boys! They then whittled sticks and decorated them with patterns and their names, finally hiding them in their favourite part of the Forest so that the forest never forgets them. After all this hard work we realxed around the campfire and enjoyed some delicious Haloumi burgers. We’ve tried to keep the temperature down in the Forest with lots of water activties over the last 2 weeks which all visiting classes and lunch time clubs have enjoyed. The Forest is taking a well earned rest now, ready for all the fun to begin again in September.
