Wow! We have had a busy 2 weeks in the Forest with many different types of weather. Last week 2C had a brilliant time in the rain making Dams, sweeping water as well as making their own Forest recipes up for the ‘Forest Café’ This week they used their culinary skills to make ‘Stone Soup’ everyone listened to the story beautifully and then helped to peel and chop our vegetables ready to add to the saucepan. Luckily we also had some prepared soup which we warmed up over the campfire and enjoyed with bread. It was lovely to sit around the fire on such a chilly day. 2T and 2G have continued to explore the Forest. They have used Aided Language Displays to find different areas and objects in the Forest they have also been investigating different textures. 2M had a lovely session thinking about Squirrels. They painted squirrels using pine needles and made lovely Squirrel tails by threading leaves. This week they have designed some autumnal nature frames using Forest leaves. 1T have been busy continuing to explore the Forest, this week they investigated ice to see what was hidden inside.
