It’s been a busy few weeks in the Forest with lots going on. EYFS enjoyed a morning of mud painting one week and the next designed their own ‘Magic bread’ slices, carefully decorating them before we toasted them over the campfire to make ‘Magic toast’ 4L have also been cooking, they used Rosemary from the Forest to make a Rosemary Syrup which we added to icing sugar. They were then the first class to use our new Dutch oven making and baking cup cakes which we drizzled with the Rosemary Icing. 4R have worked really hard over the last two weeks making designs which they then used nails and a hammer to add to wooden blocks. Everyone worked carefully with their designs and with their tool skills. They also made and enjoyed some rather tasty campfire toasties. 3R started their sessions this week in the sunshine focussing on their science topic. We explored stones and rocks, trying to identify them and sorting them into categories. With all the spring blooms lots of classes have enjoyed ‘Hapa Zome art’ designing some beautiful designs.
