We have had a Hapa-Zome spectacular in the Forest this week. Hapa-Zome is a Japanese term meaning ‘leaf-dye’. On Monday 3M created some beautiful pieces of art work using different petals and leaves. While wearing their safety gloves they carefully used the hammers to make their patterns. They finished off the session with a Chocolate Easter egg hunt. On Tuesday Forest School went on tour. We met up with our friends from some of the schools in the Birmingham Special Schools Co-Operative Trust at Wilson Stuart School. 2C enjoyed meeting new friends and exploring a new Forest. They made pine cone Bees, Mud pies and played noughts and crosses. They were also very well behaved. Well done 2C!
On Wednesday Caterpillars made some beautiful Hapa-Zome patterns together. We think they look like Butterflies, what do you think? They also had a great time looking for eggs all around the Forest and enjoying the warmth of Spring.
