This week we have been celebrating ‘Great Big Green Week’ in the Forest. On Monday Early Years looked at different leaf shapes and made leaf prints. On Tuesday 4A worked hard making apple bird feeders that we then hung around the Forest. We listened to which birds might visit and were very excited to hear a Kingfisher. We then left the wildlife camera out to capture any visitors. Unfortunately it was a little too windy for the birds but we will try again next week. 3H came to visit again, looking for different items in the Forest and 3C came to draw a ‘Birds eye view’ of the Forest as part of their Geography lesson. 2R listened to Rainforest sounds and made some rainforest prints while 2B had fun with ice, finishing off their sessions with Pakoras and Hot Chocolate…..a delicious combination! We have also been excited to find that we might have a Robin nesting in the Forest, we will keep a close eye on this. We also found some egg shells that have fallen from another nest.
