We have had lots of different activities in the Forest this week. Early Years went on a colour treasure hunt. Once they found a colour they used it to help decorate a Butterflies wings. On Tuesday 2A completed some Forest art using special Chocolate paint to link in with their topic. The Chocolate made beautiful leaves on our bare trees and smelt lovely. 3Z practised their potting skills, using the trowels to carefully fill their plant pots with compost before adding a magic seed. 3R had a very busy morning, drilling and varnishing their wooden cookies ready to make Wind Chimes. They also learnt how to use the ‘Bow’ saw. Cutting through some really large logs. They were very proud of the finished product. 4H listened to the next part of our Frog story and used their brilliant fine motor skills to wind wool around cardboard to make Tadpole shapes. 3B finished our week in the Forest off by thinking about the Sun again. They produced some lovely Sunshine prints and watched to see how quickly the sun would melt the ice. It was so cold today, It took a a very long time and although it didn’t melt away completely it did start to melt.
