We have all enjoyed the sunshine in the Forest this week. On Monday Early Years enjoyed looking at and exploring different types of spring flowers. We used hammers to make marks onto material with the flowers using a ‘Hapa Zome technique’ 2T and 2M thought about the story that they are reading in class at the moment ‘James and the Giant Peach’ They searched for the mini beasts that are in the story and painted some beautiful pictures of them. We even had some artists painting a Bald Eagle and Praying Mantis. On Wednesday 1W made tracks, They followed some huge white prints to the log circle and then enjoyed making their own tracks using the tractors and lorries in the Forest and their own feet. 3R had a great morning grilling Halloumi to make some delicious burgers and on Thursday 2B formed a Forest Band using the pots and pans to beat out patterns. They also had a great time on the swings and discovered the delights of dunking biscuits into Hot Chocolate. Yummy!
