It has been the wettest December in the Forest but we haven’t let that dampen our mood. Groups have been getting into the festive spirit. E.Y.F.S used wool to help to decorate a beautiful wooden stick star. 2M used their fine motor skills to spread ‘mud marmalade’ onto wooden cookies for Paddington Bear and to decorate wooden decorations for the tree. They finished their sessions by enjoying campfire marmalade on toast. We think Paddington would approve! All groups have explored the snow tray, making marks and snowballs. 2C finished their sessions with campfire S’mores and some wonderful festive threading. All the groups have had lots of fun in the rain, it hasn’t stopped us enjoying all our favourite activities whether that’s climbing trees, painting, relaxing in the hammocks or especially swinging over the puddles. Although let’s hope we have a slightly drier January.
