We started the week in the Forest by celebrating this weekends ‘International Mud day’. Early years enjoyed painting with mud and exploring mud in the tuff tray. We turned the digging pit into a mud pit which was excellent for splashing in and making muddy sounds. Tuesday looked a little different, due to 4A having their Sports afternoon the forest came to them. They worked hard following instructions to build their very own birdboxes and feeders which we will decorate next week. 2P and 2H enjoyed their summer drop in sessions, again mud painting and relaxing in the hammocks after such a busy year. 2R have had extra time in the Forest this week due to transition day next week. On Wednesday they prepared and then baked bananas to continue with their Rainforest theme. Everyone enjoyed putting chocolate into the bananas, wrapping them and then exploring them once they were cooked, 2R really were superstars with everyone sitting safely around the fire. On Thursday the looked at plants naming the petals, stem and leaves before planting their very own seeds.
