While the weather has been so hot we have been focussing on cooling slow activities in the Forest. So which better Forest character to focus on but the Snail, who is definitely cool and certainly slow. Eary Years enjoyed decorating their own snails and making snail trails with brushes while 4H made some beautiful wood cookie and clay snails.Working hard to decorate their shells and form their bodies in the wet clay. One pupil extended his snail ‘Max Snail’ by making fir cone snail eggs. 4W enjoyed a wood work session using the Bowsaw and palm drill to either make log dogs or wooden cookies. We celebrated national mud day at the start of the week with a large mud mixing station which everyone has loved. Other activities this week have included climbing trees, stone painting and relaxing in the Hammocks.
