It has felt truly like Spring in the Forest this week. Early Years and 2A enjoyed some pancake fun at the beginning of the week. They explored the ingredients we need to make pancakes and had a turn at Flipping them in the Frying pans. 3Z went on a worm hunt and thought about what a great job worms do to make our soil so nourishing. On Wednesday pupils in 3R carefully used the drills to start making their wind chimes, they started building an amazing den and some decided it was also the perfect weather for relaxing in the Hammocks for a bit of Bird watching. In the afternoon 4H started a new book all about a Frogs lifecycle. They then explored some pretend sensory Frog spawn and made some Frog spawn pictures using bubble wrap. 3B finished off a sunny week by thinking about the sun and it’s power. Using the special Cyanotype paper, they used natural objects to make patterns on the paper and then let the sun work it’s magic. We washed the paper off in water to set our pictures and then let the sun help us again by drying them. As an added extra The Forest enjoyed some World Book Day fun with Monsters hiding around the trees. 3B were able to find them and match them up.
